Project Nehemiah Hawaiʻi (“PNH,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you interact with our website, social media pages, email/text communications, events, programs, and services.

  • Event/volunteer information: registration details, availability, skills, emergency contact, T-shirt size (if applicable), waiver acknowledgments
     
  • Donation/payment information: donation amount, billing address, transaction details (note: payment card data is typically processed by third-party payment processors—see Section 5)
     
  • Communications: messages you send us (email, DMs, contact forms, comments, calls), and feedback or survey responses
     
  • Program-related information (if you share it): details you provide when requesting help or services
     

B. Information collected automatically online

When you visit our website, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect:

3) Communications (Email, Text, Phone)

Email

Text/SMS (if used)

If you opt in to receive texts, we may send updates and reminders. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out by replying STOP (or as otherwise instructed) and contacting us.

If you call us or we call you, we may keep notes to follow up and support your request.

A. Under 13

Our website and online services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without verifiable parental/guardian consent.

B. Minors under 18 (youth programs/events)

For youth participating in programs or events, we may collect limited information necessary for safety and participation (such as parent/guardian contact, emergency information, and permission/waiver forms). Where required or appropriate, we will seek parent/guardian permission.


C. Photos/videos of minors

We may take photos/video at events for community awareness and outreach. If you do not want you or your child photographed/recorded, notify staff at check-in or contact us at team@projectnehemiahhawaii.com. We will make reasonable efforts to honor requests, but we cannot guarantee exclusion in all public settings.

5) How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information in these limited circumstances:

A. Service providers

We use vendors to help operate services (e.g., website hosting, email platforms, registration tools, donation/payment processing, analytics). They may access information only to perform services for us and are expected to protect it.

If forms are collected on paper, we store them securely and limit access.
