President, Project Nehemiah Hawaiʻi
Christina Everett is a community leader, pastor, author, and advocate committed to restoration, accountability, and protection for Hawaiʻi’s most vulnerable populations. She currently serves as President of Project Nehemiah Hawaiʻi, a frontline nonprofit addressing human trafficking, abuse, homelessness, bullying, and exploitation through outreach, prevention, public awareness, and community collaboration.
She also serves as Corporate Secretary of He Ala Hou O Ke Ola, a community reintegration program providing individuals a new path forward through structured support, accountability, and spiritual growth. Christina is the President and Pastor of Christian League Center, and serves as a Board Member of Hawaiʻi Connect and Board Member of SHIELD, a youth-focused prevention and anti-bullying initiative.
Christina is the author of nine books, including works addressing inappropriate touching, identity, trauma, exploitation, and spiritual discernment. Her writing and teaching are shaped by both theological training and lived experience, bringing depth, realism, and hope to difficult conversations many avoid.
Her leadership is rooted in redemption. Christina is open about her past incarceration and her own experience as a victim within broken systems. Rather than allowing her past to define her, she has allowed it to refine her — using her testimony to advocate for reform, restoration, and responsible leadership. Her story stands as evidence that transformation is possible when truth, accountability, and grace intersect.
Christina is married to Alonzo Everett, Sr., a Pastor of International River of Life Christian Center in Waiʻanae. Together, they serve their community faithfully. She is the proud mother of seven adult children and grandmother to seven grandchildren, grounding her work in a deep commitment to family, legacy, and future generations.
